TEMPLE HOSTS FINANCIAL WELLNESS FAIR RIGHT BEFORE GRADUATION

What's scarier? Not knowing if you're going to get a full-time job after graduation? Or thinking about paying off your massive student loans? Temple hosted a financial wellness fair at the Bell Tower to help students with things like financial literacy and salary negotiations for students who are scared of both.

7TH ANNUAL FISHTOWN CHILI COOKOFF

The Fishtown Neighbor's Association held their 7th annual chili cook off at The Fillmore. Chili lovers got to eat unlimited chili from over 15 different chili makers including restaurateurs and Fishtown neighbors. It was a fun filled afternoon with a live band, a full bar, and even ice cream. Each year there is a critic's choice and people's choice winner. All proceeds go to the Fishtown Neighbor's Association which puts on events and initiatives all throughout Fishtown. The non-profit organization is run by a staff of volunteers dedicated to making the neighborhood a place any one would want to live in.

PHILLY COMICS AND COSPLAY DAY

Psycho Scene Events for the second year in a row hosted Philly Comic and Cosplays Day. It's an awesome event where fans dressed in their favorite cosplay, got to eat awesome food, and enter their cosplays in a contest! The event also hosted plenty of vendors and fan favorites including Spiderman Noir creator Fabrice Sapolsky and former WWE superstar Gene Snitsky among others

DONALD TRUMP RALLY MEETS ANTIFA PROTESTERS

On Saturday March 25, 2017, a Donald Trump rally has held at Independence Hall, but it was swiftly met by a anti fascist movement called Disrupt MAGA. The antifa, as they were called, marched around the block to intimidate the Trump supporters. They then took over the marching route that the Trump supporters were supposed to take. It ended in center city when police told everyone to go home.

THE WORKSHOP SCHOOL: PUBLIC EDUCATION DONE DIFFERENTLY

The Workshop School in West Philadelphia takes on an approach to public education that is vastly different than most classrooms. They teach project-based learning which entails less traditional book learning, uses a set of curriculum, and makes the students directly apply themselves to something tangible like building cars, solar powered cell phone chargers, and much more.

RIDESHARING IN PHILADELPHIA: A NEW WAY TO GET AROUND

On Philadelphia Neighborhoods on TV, we looked into the impact ridesharing is having on Philadelphia. Ridesharing is like a taxi service, but done by people in their personal vehicles. Companies like Uber bring lots of positives features to a city's economy and accessibility.

VERTICAL FARMING: THE NEXT BIG PHILADELPHIA INDUSTRY

Metropolis Farms USA co-founder Jack Griffin is starting something big in Philly. Since almost all of our food is brought in from outside the city, Griffin is trying to create jobs by revolutionizing urban, indoor farming within the city limits.
